Mike Barrie has been writing for the “Late Show with David Letterman” since 1994. Before that, he wrote Johnny Carson's monologues for the “Tonight Show,” for many years until Carson's retirement in 1992.
He has been nominated for 18 Emmys for both shows.
He shared the Writers Guild Award with Jim Mulholland for the Showtime movie, “The Ratings Game,” starring and directed by Danny DeVito.
His feature credits include: “Bad Boys,” starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence; “Oscar,” starring Sylvester Stallone; and “Amazon Women on the Moon,” starring many actors.
