JAMAICA HIGH SCHOOL
YEARBOOK INVENTORY

For many years the Jamaica High School Yearbook took its name from the school mascot and was titled BEAVER. In the early years the title ORACLE was used a few times and the yearbook seems to have been sometimes combined with the literary magazine. Another title sometimes used was FOLIO. In recent years the simple title YEARBOOK has sometimes been used.

We have received many copies of yearbooks through donations from alumni; these are usually the older yearbooks. We would like to receive more donations of that kind and will welcome all contributions, especially for years for which we have no copies at all.

Another potential source for old JHS yearbooks is the Long Island Division of the Queensboro Public Library, second floor, 89-11 Merrick Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11432. Judith Box, Manager. 718-990-0770.

Many alumni have asked to buy a copy of a yearbook because they have lost or never bought their own. I think you can see from our inventory below that in most cases we can not sell the few copies that we have.
